The 'Lotus Series': the symbolism in these paintings is representative of finding an inner peace after going through dark and difficult times in life. Zen and Buddhist philosophies have a great influence on my work. My background in art history has left me fascinated with religious symbolism and iconography and this is a constant thread in my art.
