My recent work is inspired by the 16th century writings of Saint John of the Cross -  Dark Night of the Soul.

These writings are about the journey that the soul takes while trying to become one with God.  Today the term is used for the time of

loneliness and desolation in a person's spiritual life due to their loss of faith in God.  It is a spiritual phase that many saints have

gone through.

Compositionally these works are influenced by ancient Neolithic monuments and megalithic structures.

“In the real dark night of the soul it is always three o' clock in the morning, day after day.”

- F. Scott Fitzgerald
